Honestly, if you want to play a bow char and slap, run a warlock with mirrored blades and demon machine/brand demon crossbow.

Max mirrored blades, and your primary damage comes from hex: bane and its synergies (as well as regular amp if you're using a brand). No need for cursed demons, so it's pretty patch proof for next season.

Unbuffed hits 75% FCR with enough IAS to get 2 attacks/second, 5 bolt multishot that hits between 12k-15k of mostly magic (some physical) per bolt, 2500 life, -30 enemy magic resist (can be increased by consuming a defiler if you want and running a -res sunder), solid resists.

Buffed with an enchantress/barb? Those 5 bolts each hit for 20k now (300k dps) enhanced by two defilers.
