Holy reach.
There were tons of other picks involved to get these guys, like trading your own first round pick to get smith.
Even reddit iggles tore this to shreds when it was posted years ago
Oh...
In Feb 2021, the Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Colts for a 2021 3rd-round pick and a 2022 1st-round pick.
2021 Pick: The 2021 3rd-round pick was used in a package to trade up for DeVonta Smith. They gave up their #12 overall pick for the #10 overall pick in addition to that third round pick.
2022 Pick: The 2022 1st-round pick (No. 16) was traded to the Saints, which ultimately helped the Eagles acquire more draft capital, including a 2023 1st-round pick (used on Jalen Carter) and a 2024 2nd-round pick (used on Cooper DeJean).
A.J. Brown: The Eagles traded pick No. 18 and a 3rd-round pick—both acquired in the Saints trade—to the Titans for A.J. Brown.
Kinda reaching if you don't think Wentz trade directly resulted in all of these players lol. Of course ELITE drafting from the GOAT Howie is key here, but yeah.
