I am torn by the pros and cons of this following reproductive science. It will be useful when our species decides to send communities of people or embryos on thousand year journeys through space. It may even be useful if a civilization ending pandemic hits and we are unable to adapt fast enough. This tech may help to keep our species going.
Yet, it may lead to children who are far too alike. Imagine a whole generation of what are children with all similar traits and other things that may be selected for. It would be monoculture. I can only speak for myself when I share that is not a future that I would want for our species. Differences are important. Even if some of those differences lead to a disadvantage. We thrive from and due to lfe's challenges.

"Science fiction inches toward reality
Polygenic risk screening for embryos is part of what some futurists have dubbed the 'Gattaca Stack.' Named after the 1997 movie that envisioned a dystopian society of genetic selection, the Gattaca Stack would combine technologies like polygenic embryo screening with embryo editing, artificial wombs and lab-grown eggs and sperm to create genetically enhanced humans.
Nucleus Genomics advertised its embryo screening service in a New York campaign.
'I'm very worried about the kind of dystopian world that this way of using technologies could lead to,' says Katie Hasson, the executive director of the Center for Genetics and Society."
