The jews in 1948 conducted bloody massacres in home to home slaughters, just like the arabs did. After the haifa oil and ben yehuda, the zionist forces went door to door in deir yassin killing every palestinian villager
The modern IDF did precision bombing and drone strikes to surgically take out fighters and known hamas members and managed to invent new ways to minimize civilian casualties despite the human shields of the dense urban targets, resulting in the overwhelmingly disproportionate number of deaths in gaza and lebanon being fighting age males- methods as fine targeted as mossad's butt blowing pager bomb approach.

It is against this backdrop that Israel launched a preventive first strike on June 5, 1967.

The 'land grab' narrative doesn't align with the historical timeline. In May 1967, Egypt expelled UN peacekeepers from the Sinai, amassed 100,000 troops on the border, and closed the Straits of Tiran an illegal blockade that Israel had warned would be considered an act of war. Israel’s strike was a preemptive move against an imminent multi-front invasion.
Regarding the land:

Jordan occupied and annexed the West Bank from 1948 to 1967.
Egypt controlled the Gaza Strip.
Syria held the Golan Heights.

If the conflict was about Palestinian sovereignty, why wasn't a Palestinian state established by Jordan and Egypt during those 19 years? The 1967 war wasn't a quest for more land; it was a response to a direct threat of annihilation.
