Regarding loans, basically never lend money. Give it, if you can, and feel like the recipient deserves it. Or say, i'm broke.

Last year the insurance company I represent paid out more in claims than they took in premiums, on my book of business anyways. No scans baby. The company I deal with is actually greta with claims as long as you have the coverage. The problem is people dont see insurance as important so give up many useful coverages to try and save some money, and they get mad when theyre declined because they gave up said coverage.

I had a guy bought a new commercial property, and a 2nd lot which had these massive wooden carports. I asked what he wanted to do with them, he said I dont want to insure them I dont care. This is written IN TO THE APPLICATION. Fast forward a year and a half, fire came through and burned the carports down. He proceeded to yell at me and call me a useless, unprofessional, incompetent asshole, etc etc because now he had to pay over $100,000 to rebuild them. I showed him the fuckin application but its still all my fault. He moved all of his business to another broker and continues to shit talk me around town to this day.

Insurance is great, hopefully I never need to use it. I dont wake up every morning hoping my house burns down or my sewer backs up lol

Are we getting the full story? I mean if he was that upset, could there be something in what he said? Maybe you should give him the claim or whatever it's called. And an apology. Oh come on, it's almost halfway to christmas anyway ^^

I dicked up at my job, drove truck, right at 7 in morning, raining, just woke up 30 minutes ago from working late shift, 4 trucks waiting, pissed off driver. He was fat n big too. I was rushing. The pallet i wanted was positioned so awkwardly, right in the middle of the truck among others, only one angle to get it with the extenders. There was a little tiny metal piece sticking up from the side of the truck, he was like "you see this, be careful!!"... I took my time, but surely enough, just as i was lifting and backing out to drag the pallet, 1 cm too much and the goddamn thing bent. He got furious lol. "WHO'S GONNA PAY?? FK YOU!!" and so on ^^ and certain superlatives you wrote ^^

I got a bit nervous ^^ he let it go, probably because he knew it was a ridiculously stupid thing to place that pallet there.

He was adamant he would never have excluded the car ports because of how valuable they were. I showed him in the application it said specifically "Customer has car ports on adjacent lot but doesnt wish for them to be insured". I remember our conversation clearly, he only wanted the main building and the 3 smaller buildings on the lot insured, he was very clear "I dont care about anything else".

He was claiming I made it up, but why would I make something up that exposes me to E&O and REDUCES the premium? I work on commission, more premium is more money. Makes zero sense why id intentionally exclude coverage that hed be paying for lol.
I dont approve or deny claims, the insurance company does, I just find the business and send them the application. I made no mistake, and if I had, I wouldve been on the hook for whats called an E&O claim (Error & Omission) and my E&O insurance wouldve paid him out for it. Luckily I had a detailed note about what we discussed that day and I was found of no wrong doing. But insurance is a scam! He didnt get paid! Rah rah rah!!! If one of the 4 buildings he insured had burned down, he wouldve got paid.

also got xfer scammed out of a grief in d2 by in game friend, leading to me making an account here to trade
