[SIZE=7][FONT=fantasy][COLOR=gold][CENTER][B]Oh many times. Maaany people are truly vile and unscrupullous... but not just in money, but in values and general attitude as well. Just check the Gundersen thread... someone tries to look friendly, but right after that, they stab you in the back.
1) Had my opel/vauxhall vectra. A "friend" i had (scorpio), who was very persuasive when he wanted something done, got me to buy used racing tires for 200$ in 2005 money. They were skewed and the car shook like a washing machine on 1400 rpm. So they were useless.
2) At my warehouse job i worked in 2011-2013, a guy worked there (taurus, 1 day off from me, 1 year younger though i seem to recall ....), wanted to "buy" them. Sooo trustworthy and friendly. "You'll get the money at next payday." I never thought he'd have the audacity to withhold money after we've worked almost side by side for 6 months. But yes, he came up with one excuse after another. Never got the money. I told him in front for 20 workers, "when you gonna pay me?" many times... i think everyone got the picture, he was a dishonest crooked thief of a devil. However, i felt sorry for him, he told me he had a difficult mother and i can empathize with that. He had a twin sister too that worked there briefly and was hot as hell (3rd decan taureans often are, but like medusa-style, but still). She was honest though, told me they had fought like hell when they were younger and she had kicked his ass, she'd supposedly worked offshore at fishing ships... damn. She took me on a mushroom picking trip in the forest, which surprised the hell out of me, considering she had a man. Brought her german shepherd though. Lol. So ... 200$... karma will deal with him somehow. I know of one revenge though xD I laughed as hell at that .. he told me he'd got a son, and his woman had named him the same as me xD So that's a stark reminder for his entire life ^^
3) Said "friend" in point 1, again, very persuasive, got us to play poker with him and losing 100's of $ to him over long periods of time, i.e. making it seem like a small deal, but just taking the money all the same. 10 years later, he told me he had "invested" (gambled, more like) money in a las vegas casino "stocks" (or whatever) and lost 10 000$. He was very shroud, when the internet casino things were coming out, he made a user and got the bonus, played through blackjack, and made 3000$ in one month.
4) When that stupid, idiotic 5% community shit came out, he (again, same "friend"), wanted me to "invest" in that with him, so he "set me up with a contact" he had, wanted me to "buy in" for 50$. I think i joined one of those pyramid schemes, but not that one, it felt so fake i just left.
5) Chatted with a female on net, about 2008-9.. she was genuine, again, taurus, told me of struggles and such. Told me she was having real trouble, needed 250$ short term loan. So i did. Didn't pay back. I threatened with police, she paid back, cut contact. 2 years later told me she had gone into psychiatric ward. Was in a better place then.
6) Wanted to buy beer off a criminal guy in the street, i was drunk, gave him 60$ "yeah sure, wait here, i live right up there", of course he disappeared.
Probably done some other stupid shit too ... but luckily, no huge big scam losses, like in the 1000$'s........[/B][/CENTER][/COLOR][/FONT][/SIZE]
