It's not just grammar but very basic and simple communication skills. If you are missing whole words in your sentences and using the wrong punctuation, how is anyone supposed to take what you say seriously? They have to try and decode what you are saying for it to make actual sense. If you can't talk properly then you have no real side to any conversation.
