Abyss right?

I think they did nerf chains and blood boil which were also op in PvP

Would be nice if they nerf abyss

Also might still be very good pve with 20 points into bind demon.

you can now cast 5x and they removed the delay

Most of the nerfs are anti-QoL, and some are just obviously broken and they didn't even bother testing them in the slightest, and they all show a total lack of understanding game balance

Blood boil for example lists its radius being nerfed so hard the skill would be totally unusable. Except they didn't actually implement it, they only changed the tooltip, like morons. Meanwhile they claimed to remove the %DR from sigil lethargy, which would both horribly nerf the skill if they actually implemented it and make it a skill with no scaling besides its level 10/20 aoe, a dumb change... except they actually just flat out broke the skill and removed all its effects and it does nothing at all now. No %dr, no ias slow, no move slow, nothing.
the rest follow that same formula, the ideas are dumb and poorly thought through
you need to dump 40 points into bind demon + demonic mastery just to use a bound superunique demon in a 3x demon setup except they also nerfed those demons to the point you can't keep them alive anymore, meanwhile tainted deal 3x the damage per fireball that a best-in-slot sorceress does. Because reasons.


Diablo II resurrected was clearly made by people with a passion for the game, the vicarious visions team put in a lot of effort to capture the original aesthetic and perfectly mirror the original's mechanics instead of creating another watered down demake like so many demakes out there. Then blizzard put it into minimum maintenance mode and we get a phoned in DLC with next to zero content for $20, followed by patches by some disinterested intern who has no idea how the code even works let alone how the game should be balanced

so don’t play warlock and enjoy all the added new features that are definitely worth 20$?
You can hardly even buy a fortnite skin for a measly 20$ and this update gave the pvm nerds a lot of good content and fg addicts got to enjoy at least one season of hyper-inflated prices

The saddest part is that it’s so easy to balance these things. Just by tweaking a few numbers.

Literally one person could fix all this in a day. Yet the lack of understanding is crazy

in what world is a handful of data points entered into a spreadsheet and qol features that we should get for free worth $20? This DLC was obviously bad value proposition and we called it out at launch
Crimson desert had more content and QoL added for free in a week of patches than the whole of RotW combined
$20 gets you the entire game of Silksong and most indies in general are at that price point
$20 got you lord of destruction

All rotw had was a warlock model, not even fully animated because they cheated having to animate weapons. And a few particle effects / buff overlays. That's all the actual new content they made. The skills recycle existing assets for demons, fire effects, minions, etc.
when they made LoD, they added a whole new act with its own tilesets, long list of monsters with new animations, new abilities, new missiles/particles/buffs, new NPCs, new doodads, new atmospheric effects, an entire new orchestrated soundtrack and all kinds of new systems and itemization. They created dozens of new levels, boss fights, a half dozen quests with multiple steps, and they animated multiple new cinematics.
Again, rotw gave us no real content and just QoL that should have been drip fed to everyone who bought D2r for full price, because that's expected maintenance for a game's life cycle. Instead they held back stuff like chronicle
