any automation is bannable the second blizzard cares
d3 had bans when people auto-hotkeyed full sets of magic find gear on to open chests etc (hey, this exact software!)
wow has bans for crafting/vendor automation

in the end do what you want but advising others to risk with full confidence shouldn't be it

Using a macro that my Logitech mouse macro configuration allows, just to avoid doing 15.000 clicks does not, at least on my perspective of things, represent cheating, to be honest.

However, I wanted to be sure, what could be the actual position of Blizzard, in case they detected that repetitive loop with It, because in fact uses an external program that interacts with the Game, and I very much appreciate my account.


Now, you seem to have been around for many more years than me in this forum, and can nothing but respect that you categorize that as cheating, even though I can hardly share your opinion...

Blizz spots anything related to image detection.
I often used some simple scripts to move mouse and click between coordinates with some randomized pixels/path/delays.

I ran that, for example to automate the infinite gold exploit, on and off for over 2 years. Never been banned.

This is not a guarantee.
Don’t take my word for granted.
But from my experience it seems that they’re not able to detect that kind of script that does not interact with anything else but your mouse and keyboard without image detection.

lol, if youre going to gamble your way to a completed chronicle, gamble like a man.... haha but if youre going to automate it, just hero edit it at that point.

what would actually be impressive is to adjust your playstyle to simply just legit mf the items youre missing.

I know this isn't the forum for this or whatever, and I'm not trying to police you, but saying stuff like "... like a man" can be harmful, even to yourself. The idea that we need to tough through things just to prove our manliness, as men, can come around to haunt us when we need help. It's why a lot of men don't try to get therapy or won't open up about vulnerable feelings with their friends, because they feel that doing so would lose them their man card. I'm not mad at you or anything, it's a common phrase. Just wanted to share some thoughts on it.
