Wow, crazy how it would turn that bad. I've had similar experiences. There was a new danish place opening just down the city center (300 yards away). They advertised with 50% off all main dishes. We tried steak, sirloin and entrecote/ribeye. I asked for mid rare, associate asked for mid-well.
Took 50 minutes to arrive, despite only us + 2 more customers, and a lot of working noise in the kitchen.
Both "steaks" were half inch thick, i wouldn't call it a steak, rather a shoe sole-size. Mine was mid-well, one part almost raw. Associate's was almost completely raw through, just 1-2 mm cooked on each side. Potato chips were straight out of a packet and zero taste, very simple salad and some other side that was boring.
Original price 40$ x 2, which then was halved. Still robbery when quality is that poor.
Weirdest experience i ever had. Never went back. It closed after 6 months. They blamed "other circumstances", several complaints in comment section of news article, i was among them.
I don't know why, but 90% of all danish restaurants and such i've tried, has been major letdowns. Only last time i went on dfds oslo-copenhagen, the dinner buffét was 9/10. Breakfast 10/10. Also a pizza restaurant, first time i got to taste properly made pizza. I told the chef. Oven was not preheated, so it took 1h 20 minutes, but we got two pizzas instead of one ^^ so it was okay. And on a ferry passing like that, you have the time.
