I played d4, finished the campaign and the free expansion, but never bothered with the paid expansions.

Maybe it was too early, but was too boring to play. Most my time spent in reading stats to figure out if I should reroll or salvage. And limited tradition, once you customize and or add stuff you can't trade it any more.

Is the game genuinely better now, should I get the update? Did they fix trading and more viable builds now?

Now it takes longer to reach the later stages, but we still don’t have a true endgame.

The new item crafting system is cool, and the war plans mainly just add a few modifications to the usual activities.

You get fewer items in the open world and more from juiced activities through war plans.

I’m not sure if it’s better, but it’s not worse either.

The game is more or less objectively better than it was since launch, but whether it improved enough to your liking is subjective.

you cant compare the game from first season to now

Any insights why softcore trading forum has 4 active users. Is jsp not needed and trading in game just works? Or people don't trade?

There's like 150+ on the seasonal section. You are looking at the eternal section.

Most people on jsp would never touch a Diablo game after D2, and it's not like the site is getting a steady influx of new users on account of it being a 20+ year old site and many people outside of the community associating it with rmt.

I miss PvP from the early seasons.. so much fun and had a decent community

These days, PvP dead, but I found a discord with a bunch of great Necros that push the tower. That’s been a chill spot and gives me something to work towards
