So, I can login on my phone just fine.. however every time I try to login using my computer, even using different browsers.. it wont allow me to. Just says I failed the security check.

Weird question, but did you have a VPN active at the time?

No, i'm not sure why this made a difference but.. instead of pressing enter after typing my password/gold password i manually clicked "log in" and it worked.
for some reason, pressing enter would not allow me to log in.

That is an odd one!
