No vipermagi in classic (unfortunately), also Nova is super weak (unfortunate again)

Best bet is probably an orb / firewall if you want to go hybrid, or just pure orb or blizz + static to play in group. I always recommend Energy Shield (happy to share my build guide if you interested), but that limits your skill points to add a second skill and basically limits you to group play.
