BS, plain and simple. I started this war as pro-Israeli believe it or not. I end it anti-Israeli, because of what you've done. sadly i forecasted at the start of the war this is what would happen. i foresaw my own change of opinion, i just hoped your country wouldnt be stupid enough to do it, and you have.
you could have made a 1 mile DMZ to prevent any future raids like oct 7th, but you leveled an entire region instead. i saw what was coming, you didn't, and now your grand kids will be fighting in wars your leaders were stupid to keep going. their grand kids too most likely. hopefully the bomb shelters have comfortable beds, you'll be in them for generations.
You’re right that things could always be done better in hindsight, but your suggestion misses a critical operational reality: a one-mile DMZ doesn't stop a rocket.
What many people looking from the outside still don't grasp and what we learned painfully on October 7th is that we can no longer afford to 'sit and wait' for the next massacre to be planned. A passive defense failed us. The shift in strategy isn't about being 'stupid'; it’s about a fundamental realization that if we allow a genocidal threat to remain on our doorstep, we are simply scheduling the next funeral.
The goal now is clear: ensuring there is an unmistakable price for mass murder, rape, and kidnapping. If the cost of attacking Israel is the total dismantling of the infrastructure used to launch those attacks, then that is the reality our neighbors have to weigh. We aren't fighting for 'generations in shelters' we are fighting so that our grandkids don't have to.
