Government's job is not to play daddy.
You should not look to 'big daddy' government to solve your problems.
This problem rests solely on the parents.
If someone's child acts out or harms themself, it's the parents fault.
Stop dumping your children off at government run facilities (public school) and pretending they're being educated.
If a parent actually cared about their child, they'd communicate the dangers of social media.
They wouldn't look to strangers to tell their children this.
If this upsets you, then I hit the target and you need to go look in a mirror.
---------------------
I shouldn't have to suffer because you're a fool. (generalization, not a direct accusation against any individual)
On the bolded, so many people rely on the government/constituents to live and play daddy, and essentially both of them do; constituents more reluctantly
I do though agree it is 100% the parents fault. Protecting underaged and underdeveloped children should be considered with some proper restrictions. 18+ seems adequate for social media.
You're not suffering from a 18+ restriction, or some sort of waiver by the parents acknowledging the potential danger.
I'm not upset by anything you've said, most of it I agree with.
