There have been several overlapping stories of the FBI waking up from its long slumber, so they deserve their own thread.

In the past few months the FBI charged antifa terrorists in Texas who carried out an ambush attack on ICE, and 9 have been convicted

Last week they charged the SPLC with wire fraud and other charges for a scheme to pay agent provocateurs within far right groups, including the SPLC directly organizing the unite the right rally.

They also are of course charging the obvious case of the Trump assassin at the WHCD, where Patel was conspicuously left off the gunman's list of targets.

Today the FBI raided 22 somali run childcare fraud sites in Minneapolis, and apparently managed to avoid any leaks to locals who would have shown up to interfere and had cooperation from the hennepin county sheriff on site, a clean operation after months of the bungled ICE surge.

Today the FBI also brought charges against one of Anthony Faucis former top advisors, for hiding evidence during the Covid 19 surge to downplay the Wuhan lab leak theory. David Morens worked to restore the US grant to Wuhan while taking gifts, with the FBI pointing to them agreeing in writing to communicate only via secret channels hidden from government oversight and FOIA. Bravo, gmail, good plan.

Remember the Mueller probe and the Russia gate nonsense? 'Member berries remembers. Democrats will look at this and think this is happening in a vacuum when it was obvious when that shit happened that the boomerang will find its way back.

On second thought though , probably a bad comparison. Going after fraud and making an example out of ICE agitators is actually a good and not really partisan clap-back. The Fauci stuff is more comparable.

Seems like they're going after low hanging fruit where the other side engaged in crimes they put in writing or left hard evidence. Democrats spent so much effort trying to conjure up crimes against Trump and co by redefining laws and going on fishing expeditions and trying to spin the benign into the malign. But at the same time some morons thought they could engage in blatant crimes and just say 'lets talk about it on gmail so its private'. The SPLC knew its operation was illegal and just thought they'd hide it behind a few shell bank accounts, but the FBI is set up to untangle those financial webs.

It would be -and has been in a few cases- a mistake for Trump to go after political opponents in phony cases like Biden did. Fortunately a recurring theme for Trump has been that his oversteps are matched by TACO. He went after Powell on a phony premise and he dropped it, just like he turned course on the ICE surge and so much more. The democrats have never done anything but escalate. We saw it in MN, Walz and Frey told people to confront and harass federal agents and never took their rhetoric down an inch. Biden tried to lock up Trump and actually locked up January 6th protesters and even put people who werent at Jan 6th in prison for decades on sedition charges, imo the biggest black mark against our democracy since the red scare.

Kash seems to be exuding a similar competency to what Bill Barr was doing at the AGs office in Trump's first term, after the total slimebag nonentity Sessions was gone. But Barr ensured the DoJ and FBI avoided any appearance of political prosecutions even if he knew people were guilty as sin (ex ilhan omar). We'll see if Brown takes the wheel at all, or if Patel is leading this show now, but its clear they will go after some of the most obvious and provable abuses

while i hate all 3 letter agencies i guess ill take a clearly politicized FBI going after low hanging democrat fruits over it being a counter insurgency on the american people that just acts like a CIA but for american citizens. all they've done for decades is collect surveillance on US citizens and weaponize it to take down people for corporate america.

Going after total nobody private citizens was a major break. It wasn't the power struggles of the elites and their drama. Spying on and locking up citizens for petitioning their government, nothing more antiamerican than that

similar yes, same no. the FBI hasnt actually done any good police work in a long time, these latest rounds of work are politically motivated, but they're catching people breaking the law at least. before they were doing reports on social media posts or investigating russiagate. at least they're fighting fraud even if it is just for anti-democrat headlines. maybe the next democrat president can follow suit and go after republican fraudsters and audit the GOP's NGOs in the same way.

The DoJ has also indicted James Comey over his seashell post, another clear example of those fruitless political slapfights of top officials that isnt going anywhere, just days after dropping the case on Powell, and already attempting it on Comey before. So the petty nonsense continues. But they also indicted the crazed liberal father and daughter combo who had attacked a TPUSA journalist outside the federal Whipple building in MN, when the state did nothing.

Agency going on almost 118 years of politically motivated investigations.

Such a storied history of drunks and spooks leading the agency. The pressure must be tough.

Keep up the good work Mr Patel. You're one of our most loyal DEI hires to date. 😎
