I am on PS5 in NA and I frequently trade with people from Europe in ROTW ladder normal games.

I'm trying to make a trade on Hardcore Non ladder ROTW but it's giving the message "hardcore and normal characters may not be in the same game" even though both of us have HC NL characters.

Is this a known issue and does anyone know a workaround?

Answer is easy
One of the two did create game with a softcore char

Both players have tried creating normal non-ladder games with their hardcore characters. This screenshot is what it looks like if you try to join a hardcore game with a softcore character(gold text to the right of the character shows up). I'm not seeing that when my hardcore character tries to join, just the popup

i've experienced this bug trying to trade with at least 3 different people on EU. when we were trading, we were on separate realms (me NA, them EU). we were both on hc chars.

once i swapped my client over to EU it worked fine to join in games with each other, it's just the cross realm friends list joining feature of battle.net not working properly.
