Every build I look up has the base for a horker enigma as a mage plate. Why is that? What am I missing? My horker build has 280 strength. Why not make enigma in a better base like Sacred Armor or Lacquered Plate or something?

He's a trav horker exclusively, trying to optimize kill speed with survivability.

Try asking or they usually run heavy bases/high str bases on many of their characters.

You don't understand dude. By wearing heavy bases and going slower, you actually get more items because you aren't going super fast and missing the items when they drop.

It's all part of the plan. Heavy bases are godly for speed.

you can use archon plate, it has a bit more def than MP and you're not losing movespeed

anything above that is counterproductive
