I have a friend I met working at a local haunted house last season.. weve been hanging out some doing hikes and such and the other day he told me he cant swim..
I want to encourage him or even teach him how to swim, but ive never encountered an adult that cannot swim should I try to teach him myself or do i sign him up for lessons at the YMCA?
What would you do? He is 22 years old.

Actually he wants to go whitewater kayaking with me, but Im not going to take someone that doesnt even know how to swim whitewater kayaking, even on easy rapids.
