yes, there is a case for using an eth staff on echoing for example. Not for fire, bloodboil and abyss casters obviously.
I'm not sure how much value you would gain from it since skillpoints might not be as good as pure damage, but obsession is massive on WL.
That is not a proper screenshot. It's hard to make sense of it, but there's also quite a bit of vanity shining through if a face had to be included...
