The reuters article cites the Palestinian authorities themselves claiming that Gaza lost some 6% of its population from Oct 2023 through the end of 2024, i.e. the hottest phase of the war. At a 2.5% natural yearly growth rate, they will roughly have made up the population loss by now. And even if they haven't fully today, they will definitely have made it up by the end of 2026.
Simply put, a one-time 6% population loss (according to Palestinian authorities!), with half of it coming from displacement rather than casualties, does not clear the threshold to be considered genocide.

Most, genocide scholars including israeli ones, say it's genocide. So there's no argument left to had on this front. It's not a debate just like you won't debate that 2 + 2 is 4.. You could have clinged on to the fact that it was hamas authorities casualties and they cannot be trusted but israel has admitted to them being accurate.
