I wanna get a pvp going on softcore and it seems like most people play on non ladder for pvp, im not really in the mood to grind out a quick 99 right now, would it be better to wait for next ladder and 99 while its populated or are there enough games up on non ladder to slow grind to 99 while obtaining pvp gear?

Public games aren't as plentiful as they were in LoD. But honestly if you enjoy dueling join some discords and you'll have infinite people to duel with whenever you want any style; gm, BM, team duels, fpk, 2's, ft5, wagers... Whatever you want. But the public games aren't as common as they used to be but like I said, a shit ton of pvp is going on in private RN because people don't feel like dueling warlocks.

You can still find some pub games around 5pm or later EST, but they're usually ruined by some abyss lock lol.

As for your question, just do non-ladder. Ladder pvp is non-existent.

Right now pvm is ok. Tz games and baal runs easy to find

I’ll probably make him on ladder just to have populated leveling games and then when it resets I’ll join the duel games

Tbh there is plenty of leveling games on non-ladder as well. Either method you won't have any trouble leveling lol. I'd assume you'll do 1-70 chaos and then 70-80 baal and then do TZ?

With shards now, starting tz earlier is better, because you'll never out-level it, but it's only better if you have friends who want to level with you, or will let you leech in their split tz farming. If you follow someone around while they do a max lvl tz, you'll level way way faster than Baal. But obviously if you enjoy baal you'll probably wanna do that.

Good idea; pool your act 5 shards with a group and just do Baal tz runs lol.
