Remember you are making the claim of resurrection i am denying it. So why should I give you strong evidence when you cant even provide weak evidence for it.
You are making an unreasonable to impossible ask. Thats like saying prove that there isn't a cosmic turtle floating in space if you can't then magical crab people created the world.

My proof becomes disproving your claims and poking holes in the entire story. If your proof is weak I have no reason to give you more proof than required. If you build your house on faulty or weak foundations I have no obligation to dismantle your house from top down (even though I could) all I have to do is take away one or two dodgy supports (your faulty arguments) and your entire house collapses under its own weight.

If I said the testimonies are unreliable therefore we cannot say jesus cannot have resurrected. You would just say yes they are reliable and it becomes my word against yours. Without strong evidence for me to disprove I can freely say there hasn't been a resurrection. If you say there was I would have to ask for a extraordinary proof or give similar examples to give precedent that it can happen. Instead you are making exteaodinary claims with very weak no proof at all.

Another layer here is that this is your mental house we are breaking. You built this mental house on weak logical fallacies but you don't recognize them as such. If you want me to demolish this house for you then you cannot run to a different house built on more logical fallacies. We must meet in a common neutral house where we can both watch as I bring the wrecking ball to your mental house. You must put that house (religious belief) to scrutiny, test it against logic reality, probability and other methods. If your house still stands you get to live there if it cracks under pressure in any way you must abandon it and either replace it with a house with strong foundations or become a nomad.

Notice how I said global flood with physical markers all around the planet not just one spot proving only regional floods of a grand canyon. I don't think you are ready for flood debate yourself.

You’re mixing up two different things: not believing a claim vs disproving it.

If you simply don’t accept the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that’s fine—you don’t need to prove anything. But if you’re claiming it didn’t happen, then you’re also making a claim that needs support.

Either way, dismissing something as ‘weak’ isn’t an argument—you have to show a better explanation for the same evidence, not just poke at it.

If you want a neutral standard: we compare explanations and see which best fits the historical data. If you’ve got a better one, present it.

You are confusing reality with imagination. To imagine something without proof is one thing to claim its real is another. Once you make a claim of resurrection you better have extraordinary proof to back that up.
So for me to disprove your fictional resurrection story is easy all I have to say it lacks any credible/substantial proof. You still haven't given me a good reason why we should take the bible seriously.

If resurrection was proven to be real with legitimate, demonstrable proof like, dna samples, photographs, video, multitude of independent first hand witnesses that aren't bible, every single thing matching to a T. Remember this is the creator of the Universe you are claiming here not some bronze age humans. No room for error is allowed. Then I would have to go out of my way and supply counter evidence but since all we have is 1 book and trust me bro bronze age people who were making bank on religion totally wouldn't lie to you. Its not going to cut it.

Last part about comparing historical data. Only bible claims exodus happened where are the records from the Egyptians? Bible claims 7 plagues including wiping out egyptian people under the parted sea? You would think that be a pretty significant event and Egyptians were pretty good at record keeping. Not even a footnote, no independent witnesses absolutely nothing. Clearly a work of fiction that tries to pass of as history. Bible is like a school kid going around bragging that he beat up Mike Tyson, had sex with 20 girls and is a multimillionaire. Meanwhile everyone

Why are you still asking for these?

DNA as a scientific concept wasn’t discovered until the 19th century, and modern genetic analysis is a 20th-century development. The events described in the New Testament take place around 30 CE. Cameras weren't invented until the 1800s, and video even later. So there was no way for anyone at the time of Jesus Christ to record events visually. Stop asking or expecting these. It will never happen.

The resurrection is a religious claim rather than a scientifically documented event.

You disagreeing Jesus Christ existing as a historical person, most historians across religious and non-religious backgrounds agree that he did. We have references from non-Christian writers, multiple independent written sources, early and rapid spread of the movement, and consistency with known history.

You then have my faith and experiences from the past 14 years. I had a miserable and unsuccessful life prior to when I gave my life to Christ and a beautiful and successful life immediately changing from that day. I would not be where I am today without following him. I wouldn't be the husband, father, leader and friend I am today without him. I've had some pretty wild encounters with the holy spirit. Many randomly funded things from external sources that covered for things I couldn't pay for, some from sources that said God wanted them to do this for us. I've seen lives changed around for people that work/worked for me pouring my heart into their lives talking about Jesus or by loving his example. All of these things happening for 1 reason alone. I was in need of our savior and was tired of failing and falling short, so I went from trusting myself to trusting Jesus.

What the bible teaches I have personally experienced and I am not the only one. We have countless testimony from people.

What science, physics and math teach they all strongly point to creation.

You just admitted yourself that the universe has always existed, therefore eternal, THEREFORE everything we see in our observable universe has a cause and show signs of perfect design. It seems we agree on that at least, but you have yet to learn the truth about who created all of this and about who created your soul. The first 2 humans existing can only be from a case of creation.

You’re setting a modern forensic standard (DNA, video, etc.) for an ancient historical claim. By that logic, you’d have to reject most of ancient history too—because none of it has that level of evidence.

Historians don’t work that way. They evaluate sources, context, and explanations. The question isn’t ‘does this meet 21st-century lab standards,’ it’s ‘what best explains the available evidence.’

For the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you don’t refute it by just saying ‘it’s weak’—you need to show a better explanation for the same data. Otherwise you’re just dismissing, not arguing.

Christianity is claiming unprecedented claims of both magical acts and magical creatures. It requires more than just 1 dusty old book. Usually there are some physical evidence for certain events and people. For example we know that dinosaurs have existed we can dig up their remains all over the planet. We have Tombs of the Pharaoh's mummified and hiroglyphs along with plenty of independent literature of their existence. They left artifacts, statues, paintings, coins etc. We know Julius Ceaser is very likely to have existed because there is thousands of independent cross references to his name, multiple historians, including his own writings, artifacts, military accomplishments, his name and statues his face carved into rock all over Rome.
Bible claims many physical things that can be test today but since they dont exist we can only conclude its all bullshit.

Also history is written by the victor and often isn't what actually happened. You naively conclude that because it is written in a book it must be true. Through modern technology and science we are able to verify things that tell a more truthful account of events. People lie about history all the time. This isn’t even controversial. Just look at the official media today telling us one thing while we see a completely different set of events with our own eyes. If the bible claims there was a talking snake you better provide evidence of a snake that can talk. If you claim people can be resurrected from the dead show us cases where that ever happened.

What do we have of jesus? Or Moses or Noah or Adam and Eve? If the human race came from Adam and Eve who lived for 930 years why literally no one else mentions them.
Apparently your god drowned the entire human race 4359 years ago why isn't this mentioned by anyone? If Noah and his sons had to restart the entire human race from scratch after the flood you would expect the flood origin story to be on every single child's lips. How come does everybody have a thousands different origin stories? I tell you why because the bible is made up story that doesn't line up with the rest of the world. It is a book that attempts to pass itself as history.

life itself by definition is supernatural. i feel pretty smug about this and biblical claims. you have a lot of faith waiting around for science to explain life by some kind of accidental means?

For example we know that dinosaurs have existed

the word dinosaur was coined in 1842? the old word was dragon

talking snake

derogatory
a treacherous or deceitful person:
"that man is a cold-blooded snake"

meh nope. scripture was tested as it proved it self thats when a person begains to believe. i advise anybody to not listen to a 'atheist as his imagination comes up with stories tht didnt happen

If you claim people can be resurrected from the dead show us cases where that ever happened.

there have been other testimony such a thing has happened. people dont believe those either.
anyway living systems are supernatural (by definition) so a resurrection isnt that great a leap to believe.

curious that you put Jesus with a lower case "j" but nobody else?

The 66 books of the Bible were written over 1,500 years by more than 40 authors and present a cohesive picture of God’s epic rescue plan for humanity. The last book of the first part, known as the Old Testament, was finished about 330 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity. The second part of the Bible – the New Testament – focuses of Jesus’ life and the early Christian Church. It was finished around 90 AD. The structure of the Bible that we have today was finalised around 400 AD although it was more than a thousand years before it was available to ordinary men and women in English.

You’re still applying a modern scientific standard (bones, video, global records, etc.) to ancient historical claims. By that logic, we’d have to reject most of ancient history—not just the Bible.

For example, we don’t have DNA, video, or ‘thousands of independent sources’ for most ancient individuals either. Yet historians still accept figures like Julius Caesar based on the kinds of evidence that actually survive from that period—texts, references, and context.

With Jesus Christ, the question isn’t whether we have modern forensic proof—we don’t for anyone from that time. The question is whether the available historical sources are sufficient to conclude he existed and what best explains them.

Also, you’re mixing different categories:
– historical claims (did Jesus exist?)
– theological claims (miracles, resurrection)
– early Genesis narratives (Adam, Noah, etc.)

Treating them all the same and dismissing everything because you don’t accept one part isn’t a serious method—it’s just a blanket rejection.

In what world does a book that claims magic and self references itself passes as history?
This is a comedic attempt by christians to smuggle jesus from the fiction section of the library into a historical section next to Julius Caesar and hope no one notices.

Also just because something is recorded as history doesn't automatically mean that's exactly what happened. There must be either physical evidence or overwhelming cross references from multiple independent first hand witnesses to back it up. This doesn't verify 100% but it gives a highly likely probability.

A good portion of what you call history is mostly one sided version of events usually told through a lense of the winners. We often revise history because we are able to piece the evidence more accurately today with modern technologies.
So don't confuse history with hard facts and stop attempting to smuggle your magical jesus into places where he doesn't belong.
