Has anyone tested whether or not 2 cold/light/fire opal veins are better than 2 sojs?

Why would you even think so?

It only adds a minuscule % to your already high lightning mastery. Less than an SoJ would.

It doesn’t add anything to other skills: BO, ES, static field, nova, warmth, etc.

You couldn’t achieve 95% ES.

And it doesn’t give you more mana.

Fair enough. Was mostly just curious if I had missed something along the way.

One 4% cold dmg opalvein gives more dmg for frozen orb than a soj but less dmg for blizzard FWIW.

Use it if you need the fcr

I don´t think so. Pure orb usually means energy shield and sojs are great for that.

Most ppl run insight on orber and reg life from prayer, so make/laek is sortof waste, and for ES the resist is waste too.

For vita orb/blizzard hybrid it´s ok I supose..

Out of all opalveins I find cold the least useful, the rest of them have more solid use-cases.

That's where I'd be in blizz/orb pure vita. What about light sir? Am I safe using the 2 light for a 200fcr nova or am I better off with rares? I would think again I'm better off with 117fcr light because of the damage you sacrifice to get to 200.

Would never use it on light sorc due to light mastery, rares better. Opalvein light is for mosaic/java/auradin.

Really niche aren't they? Guess I'll have to give it to my brother since he's the java guy lol
