I'm curious how many raiders plan on completing the 3rd expedition next Tuesday.

I've completed the first 2 expeditions and earned the extra 10 skill points along with them so I'm looking forward to getting 5 more next week. Also excited to see the devs discuss their plans for improving the skill tree going forward as they acknowledge there are some skills that dont preform very well.

What are your thoughts?

Updated info if anyone hasnt seen the details yet:

I hope not but you could be right as I'd assume they will have to put a limit on them eventually.

As it is currently, I'll run out of useful skills before too long so I'd really like to see a skill tree update / revamp asap.

From what I've read that is correct.

Damage only counts towards the expedition from April 28th - May 11th

Well I only did quests for the first expedition, as they aren't required. I've also found in my experience that hunting for BP's again is actually a lot more fun and rewarding than only being able to find duplicates once you've collected them all.

It's completely understandable having limited time to play the game but if losing blueprints is the only reason you're avoiding the expeditions then allow me to ask another question. Out of all 74 blurprints how many do you actually use on a regular basis?

I craft a lot of Anvils & Seekers so those two definitely suck to lose on wipe day but the rest of them dont bother me personally.

Wiping and starting over is what keep things fresh and engaging for players that are mainly PvE. The minor amounts of skill points only offer slight improvement for the PvP mains so it doesn’t make sense for them to do the expeditions, but without the wipes the PvE population would have the game go stale for them much quicker. I wish there was more rewards for wiping, but at the same time it would imbalance the game more. I wish I had an answer for what would provide the best satisfaction for the players that wipe, but I don’t and it makes it easier to understand why embark hasn’t come up with a better solutions so far.

thats the thing, ive been playing since first week of January and I still am missing 5 blueprints. I craft prob over a dozen different things cause I always run out of seeds. gun parts, renegades, anvils, tempests, bobcats, burlettas.

Missing 5 is not that unusual or big of a deal. Some BP's are locked behind certian map conditions like Electric Storm and Hurricane so depending on your map preference it might be that the 5 you're missing could be tied to a map condition that you dont typically run and that might be the reason you struggle to get them after all this time.

That said each time my bp's get reset I typiclly get 30-40 of them back within the first week. Think about how many times you find a duplicate BP that you've already learned compared to how often you craft all 74 blueprints worth of items.
