You really made your game look all messed up, dude. But I'll admit... In some areas it does look easier to tell what's going on but in other areas it's impossible to tell what's going on. I especially like the transparent inventory + character sheet and the colored font against the background.

It's the new Fisher Price edition of d2r, it's got all the funky colors
thank you for your service

Started a Nova yesterday to get 99 with.
And also did all of this theorizing prior to make sure I had all the pieces for RotW.

There is just so many monsters that's immune or +75 lightning resistances that in the end it ended up be slightly slower with the 200fcr build. Plus the big thing is QoL with insight on merc 523 mana per second vs 211 mana per second. Plus triple dip from prayer.

But no doubt Eschuta + Spirit 200fcr build is viable now. Just not practical when self-wielding infinity is a thing.

Would eschuta + spirit be more viable for hardcore since you would have a 30% block chance with shield vs 0% with infinity?

Mhm it works in chaos because the light immunes have low health, but in areas where the light immunes are tanky, self infi just wins out. And although the damage of 200 fcr might be equal or better in other zones, it is way more intense to play, both because of squishiness and because of actions per minute.

Its not so much that there are many lightning immunes, its that lightning immunes are your bottleneck and it doesn't matter how fast you kill non-immunes if you are obligated to also kill immunes, otherwise you're just skipping kills.

Still I think you have to compare it to an equal fire sorc, who probably has the upper hand with renewed sunders and heralds in the game now.
105 Fire sorc hits about 17.3k fb / 35k meteor at 8 fpa with -93% pierce on gear (+conviction+sunder), and the 4200 hydras without cooldown or nextdelay are now 55.4k dps when fully deployed, about doubling the fireball spam dps

There's a shortcoming to each. Nova and lightning can both use ES, fire has to be vita or drop hydra and use massive prebuff swap which nobody bothers in pvm.
Nova has suicidally short range and lower dps in exchange for clearing trash faster. Lightning has a long piercing aoe but slower animation. Fire has the highest focused DPS but small aoe and delays to set up.
When you're just killing champions and heralds and bosses and mostly ignoring trash, fire seems like it has the most upside. FB alone kills champions, 6 hydras-> meteor+fb just destroys herald packs that nova can't even approach

cant imagine how awful it must be to go against p8 herald without insight and with double mana expenditure
