Weird case. I did read the indictment, but I would want greater detail to truly understand what took place. I can conceivably understand paying informants or infiltrators to gather information, disrupt, or compromise hate groups as a general strategy; however, it isn't clear to me that that's how this actually went down.

Many of you have harped on much of the manufactured hatred conjured up.

many groups have clearly been overly desperate to keep the idea of real old racism and hatred alive. our society has clearly transitioned away in a general sense from outright hatred, groups like the skinheads and KKK were on their deathbed anywhere outside of a federal prison. most changed from organized militias doing terror campaigns in the civil rights era to drug running biker gangs or just disbanded. so they breathed life into a dying man just to try and execute him. we live in an era where the more common complaints by black people are people asking about their hair or assuming they play basketball. try and explain after stepping out of a time machine to 1950 to a black man that's our reality, he'd call it paradise.

This reminds me of the plot to kidnap Michigan governor where it was majority informants propagating the plot.


For SPLC, was always surprised how institutions gobbled up there data as holy grail when it was surface level riddled with bias a basic high schooler could identify. Their 'hate maps' for example. Flaming red color scheme. Looked like a marketing deck
