In the list there's a similar idea that hinges on the fact that P5+ online requires a person to create interactive game names. While the design ideology was never introduced publicly,
I always assumed that higher levels online meant you had invested in some sort of grouped fighting which made 99 look a bit more prestigious. Sadly, bots make this idea moot so I'm not against your idea either. Respect the format and I will add it next to the other idea ty for posting.
In my opinion, these are the problems with the current player scaling system.
1. Streamers advantage, especially after ladder resets. Streamers have their fans fill all their games and do exactly what they are told.
2. Its 2026, there is 0 respect online these days. Fighting for p8 terror zones in random public games is really tedious, yeah you can hostile people and kill them but by the time you go to town and come back, your zone is already cleared.
3. Basically same as 2. I cant count how many times i been in a "Act 1 start" or whatever and then someone joins just to clear some bosses and what not. I seen this even in nightmare games where people just jump in and screw the whole game over and leave.
4. Again just my opinions here, but i have some builds that are extremely boring solo because it feels like you are running around lvl 99 in normal even in tz96. But those builds are usually really fun in p8, but then again you have to jump games all day
