ES Nova Sorc is one of the fastest P8 farmers that is also very tanky (outside of some nasty/annoying situations like blood curse and souls/mana burn)

you can gear swap a Memory to get lvl 40 energy shield or get a ES CTA staff
Merc - Insight, Cure, CoH... very nice for poison
Playstyle is simple: TP around, drop a few static, then telestomp into nova spam until things are dead, and move on.
Only disadvantages of the build are the annoying situations listed above and the cost of the gear.
Explanation on mana shield - when you are at max level, 95% of the damage you take goes to your mana instead of your health. With enough magic damage reduced, the remaining hit to your health goes to zero, which means the only damage you take is to your mana. Also, that damage taken to your mana is reduced to 75% with maxed telekensis. So the overall plan is to create a large enough mana pool where all the damage you take is soaked up by your mana pool and your pool/regen is fast enough where it replenishes before you get to zero. Lastly, the damage to your mana is BEFORE resists are taken into account so that is why resists don't matter on this build.
