P3 was using elder staff insight. Thats the winner for lower player count. The QOL makes it a no brainer.
Had a Eth Zod ariocs and non Eth ariocs with guardian jewel. Nice for getting bind over 20 for all bonuses.
I’d use death over ariocs though. Ariocs means you must find ML elsewhere.

This is based on ptr testing and not current game.

Current game it’s Eth insight, in elder/archon or ecv.

next patch e death decap and ebotd probably the better choice vs archon insight as es will consume durability.

probably obsession with the updated changes in the past 2 days

looks like weapon damage doesn't matter as much as it used to, you probably using a hex build now if these new 2nd wave changes apply

otherwise, insight probably the best if they buff weapon damage /physical to mean something

you still need fcr no matter what you do

Merc auras are not making up that difference. Only amp and hardpoint scaling can.

right now live game.. eth insight imo

if ptr goes live next season or later with no changes (there obv would be tho..right?..RIGHT? since physical damg is useless, hex magic builds will prolly be the go to so, prolly obsession bis and then any other +skill/fcr weps

demons seem to be tissue paper now, even with 20 hard points and mix of oath so +curse wouldnt be a game changer either

that ES lvl 39 has 432 - 657 dmg. thats more than a grief. i would like to see the dmg with merc auras. i would also like to see dmg tests with phoenix + forti. too bad

For the guaranteed way to do the most damage every hit consistently
Ethereal, ariox, needle.

There's a caveat with the most damage with the ethereal Ariocs you'll get 100% double damage every time or you can use the highest damage weapon in the game, say an ethereal, BOTD Thunder Maul, and if it crits, that will be the most damage

Again, that's not gonna do much when hitting a 50%dr 25%block target compared to magic damage procs. Access to reliable Amp is what makes this build shine, and you can't even use phoenix. The llama guy has some good points about hardpoints scaling being too harsh for the base damage and eth weapons (should at least keep parity with blade sentinel there).
