I'm running a javazon that deals great damage. I just need my a2 merc to survive and tank for me in tz96 but the heralds kill him faster than I can force feed him full rejuvs.

Is it worth investing in best in slot armor for him(curious what this is in the current meta) or is it unavoidable because of the heralds thorns aura?

I’m running lvl 27 Valk w a5 dual plague merc

Thorns will rekt your merc, especially when amp’d

You can try 20% vamp Gaze + shaftstop on merc when fighting it

That will slow down his self-death

Just play a class that doesn't need a merc

Does he die against all heralds, or just the ones with thorns?
Cause if that's just thorns, get yourself a life tap dagger|wand.
The tricky part is that you must ensure that neither your char, nor the merc, has any mod that can overwrite life tap.
