I use a bo barb so I can do 99fcr on switch with wiz spike and spirit on main didn’t wanna waste hr on phoenix special early ladder

The only thing that satisfied my mana usage to 99 was Phoenix. Nothing else compares. No amount of leech or MaeK is good enough. You do so little phys damage you ain't leeching shit.

and you feel like the usage of phoenix doesnt make u lack on damage in p8? also, if you use in main weapons how do you reach 68 fcr? or you do in switch with cta?

major skill issue

Naw, Zon does plenty of damage already.

When I play a Zon, I'm not doing Andy or Meph runs. So FCR wasn't a stat I went out of my way to get. I was fully clearing TZ's, which made FRW more beneficial. If I needed to tele, yeah I would swap to CTA.

Has anyone messed around with a jmod or just any 4os shield + dual opalvein / hora boots?

You can put a combination of ias/maek jewels and/or facets in shield.

Let’s say you put in 2x 15ias/3 maek jewels + 2x facets in a jmod.

With dual opalvein+ Horazon boots and this shield you will get 12 maek. With some mana leech on gloves maybe, your mana pool should be fine while clearing.

Ias jewels on shield means you don’t need highlords and can drop it for a 2/20 fcr amu.

This way you will have more FCR (amu+2xring) , more Ias (even without highlord) more damage (cause more facets in shield and + 1 skill from amu ) and still decent to good mana pool compared to phoenix. With a 35 spirit you will have 100 fcr on switch.

So if this is enough to keep your mana up a 4 sock shield with a combination of ias/maek jewels and facets will be better at everything compared to phoenix: Ias, FCR, damage.

With jmod you could even go for maxblock
