My first question is if D2JSP has a specific place for tech related inquiries? I have a VERY specific tech question and was wondering if this website (that might actually have people doing exactly what I'm doing) might have a dedicated sub forum for such queries.

My brand new laptop keeps booting me out of my D2r games as soon as I play Path of Exile for a given amount of time (usually 5-10 minutes). The reason I do this is I enjoy hc dueling but I often have to wait large swathes of time before challengers appear, and I play PoE in the meantime. I ran into some minor issues playing JUST poe (Deadlock detected?). But I set my cache to unlimited and that's been better. I load up a duel game, proc Merc might, minimize and play some PoE and come back to my character in the Lobby.

Here are my specs of this new laptop if that helps!

Try running games in windowed mode or borderless windowed mode. The issue is most likely due to not having enough resources If you are trying to run at full screen on both games. The 5070 mobile prolly isn’t strong enough to run more than 1 high end game at full screen.

Thank you!

I have poe in windowed mode and my OLD laptop from 4 years ago did not experience this specific problem. Any other suggestions?

Looks like you are going to have to do a lot of tweaking in your game settings and windows settings to run both Poe and d2r at the same time. Not only is your pc resources going to need adjusting but apparent d2r has built in blocks to prevent you from running both Poe and d2r at the same time or multiple versions of d2r. Most likely to prevent people from botting. Things like lowering the frame rate cap, graphics settings might help but you will also have to tweek the game files… I would search up running Poe and d2r at the same time.

Fascinating! I can't believe my old Lenovo did it and this new scalded dog MSI needs more tinkering, but I'm going to figure it out. I wonder if I can like limit the frame rate and memory usage when D2r is in the background and then let it fire back up when I hear that hostile sound :D

My only question, since it's a new gadget, which Windows 11 version is it? My guess is 25H2, which is heavily bloated and sucking up a lot of resources.
