When the strength of your team is supposed to be pitching (and I still think it will be), and it doesn't show up, this is what you see. This offense is terrible but anyone who didn't see it before the season started is an absolutely moron. Shit I've been saying it for what 2/3 years now?

They cannot manufacture runs.

Wait....this offense has been top 5 in MLB each of the last 3 seasons. There's no way anyone saw them being this bad in the regular season lol. If we're talking postseason and being inconsistent then sure.

People are legit mad because they ran back a team with an elite pitching staff and a very good offense from the last few years who have the second most wins in baseball over the last two seasons.

Youre going to need to go beyond the stats here. They were feast or famine pretty much all those years. A good offense has consistent production.

It's like saying you scored a 100 on 5 tests and 0 on the other 5 is the same as scoring 50 on 10 tests. Sure they average exactly the same, but they are very different in reality

It feels like the bigger the inconsistency (variance) the more negative impact on your record, especially on the playoffs where you are facing better pitching.

With a dominant pitching staff, which I think they have this year despite their early struggles, a more consistent, albeit lower ranking offense is better than a feast or famine offense.

This is my opinion.

Not wrong. The feast or famine issue has been a thing, but they're barely feasting this season lol. Just flat out not hitting most games. It won't stay this way, but man its tough to watch.

Funniest part is the Mets offense is even worse....and they have i believe the second highest payroll in baseball. Its wild how bad they've been too

Reyes called up and homers in his first major league AB and its against Chris Sale.

Nice. I've seen enough, crown him our savior.
