well yeah there is a known shadow loot table that changes every time you login so if you were to login once and never ever quit bnet then you would never be able to complete chronicle cause a certain unknown % of the items are unobtainable that session
Im not talking about a shadow loot table. Im talking about nefarious programming to lower the players loot table.
The loot sabotage actions found repeatedly in WoW is that the same item is chosen in all of the characters vault choices. Another one is the same type of item only drops from every drop table, effectively unable to get loot outside of that one item type. This was noted to be a locked loot effect on that character, which means you'd have to make a new character if that one is "bugged" to one item type.
These are not bugs or glitches, but efforts to increase profits by blizzard to waste the time of players and go with the motto of making more alt toons to also waste time on.
Now back to D2...
The poor loot table, everyone calls RNG. It certainly isn't RNG imo.
Throughout the years you have had drop chances lower in areas that were popularly farmed. Pindle, shenk, etc.... Blizzard is the best company when it comes to player fun police tactics. They will respond immediately to take that fun away from players. Yet simply ignore bugs that negatively effect players and should have been fixed before anything else was added to the game.
So with that said, it is very highly likely that some system is inside D2 to corrupt loot drops as well. Since its mostly bots being able to farm stuff 24/7, vs the average players hardly finding shit during many years of manual play.
The numbers don't add up in d2 as well.
