depends on a lot of factors, how early into ladder, player population, demand. this past ladder things that were formerly expensive were p much worthless because 95% of players went warlock. flip side of that, warlock items were then exceptionally expensive. if player pop was uniform across classes prices overall would come down (except on staples).

You won't be able to buy a trav barb for 400fg early on.

And later on, once the prices crash, there is little reason to farm anymore.

well I dont plan to just "buy" a trav barb like pay2win players here on d2jsp; I simply plan to buy some things that I will be missing becasue are quire rare, like stormshield or mal rune

so perhaps, 7 days in, it might be around 70-90 range per 1, thx, I simply dont remember early prices from this ladder (had late start)

You can do whatever you like.

But by the time you get your trav barb going the price crash will have already happened and you may have troubles even recouping your investment.

Nah, that's not true.
Of course it gets harder to sell things, but during current ladder I rolled trav barb in April and every day I can sell pgms/ral/sol/igg for like 50-80fg easy. It is not that bad. Rich people here will buy any number of crafting materials.
Trav is constant profit no matter what.
