Doesn't seem like too bad a nerf to me if it holds.

BB is your core skill anyway. Plenty of aoe depending on how they handle the range, Tainteds are pretty good boss killers, and with semi reliable Amp from flame multishot + Holy Freeze you're pretty close to live minus some phys damage.

Give the better minion to pure summoners and there's at least a scrap of build identity to them.

To get the most out of an aura enchanted cursed multiple shot venom lord (preferably also lightning enchanted or stone skin) you're going to need bind demon and mastery maxed so you're left with 1 point summon tainted
if they hadn't put in those base level requirements at the same time it would be a lot easier to have 2x tainted for bosses

Probably going to have to sacrifice Blood Oath points to go the Tainted route. I don't really see anywhere else to pull from. Not sure if its worth the trade though.

Its a fairly safe build so I'm not sure they're needed.

Edit: Might be worth it, 36~ Laek with Syphon keeps you healthy so its a matter of not face tanking. Have to check demon durability against heralds.

Yea that demon sounds annoying af to farm. Then there's the very real chance of accidentally killing the demon you're trying to bind. The reduced hp also means they'll accidentally get popped when you're spamming bb.

I'd probably just gear away from the phys dmg aspect at this point

Most would probably settle for cursed+multishot. Not particularly hard to farm considering you can seal pop in CS to check. A little more work than Heph since you also need to roll Holy Frost but doable.

You lose Conviction without Infinity on the merc and you lose Amp without the demon.

Still prefer to toss Oath or Tainted and keep the build whole.

Venom lord amp procs seem to be quite reliable then BB build is still alive!!

As long as the radius stays where its at imo the build feels very close to live now that the dust is settling on how to cover the losses.




Single point into Blood Oath with Tainteds and my demon actually regained health tanking a pack of p8 T3 Thorns Snow Drifters in Frozen River. My dude on the other hand is much more fragile. I don't think soft points affect the damage transfer from Blood Oath on PTR, so the 43% transfer its showing is still a lie.

blood oath isn't just a life effect on blood boil, its a synergy to boil for 20% fire damage per point, and fire is the main damage source on it
you could cut engorge and lose the physical damage on blood boil and abandon amp altogether and try to rely on 2x tainted + 1 consumed tainted and no bound demon at all, but I have a feeling that will be worse, its about 8.1k fire / 4.8k physical on my setup and against a lot of monsters its 2x both damage types, so you're losing about 1/3 of your blood boil dps by skipping engorge+amp in exchange for those 2x tainted
