So tainteds could fix the problem of the lethargy nerf vs bosses.
I understand the build feels much worse now, but let’s be honest it was completely busted…
It’s still hybrid dmg
It’s still very tanky and can farm at a safe distance
It still have access to amp (even if it takes longer to trigger)
It still should be able to go through the game without a sunder, even vs dual immunes
So IMO it looks balanced and we just need to lower our expectations about the warlock builds.
Mosaic shouldn’t be the reference of what is good.
A better comparison would be blizz sorc. And from what I see (without having tested it) it seems pretty good overall.
I'm not complaining and definitely not using Mosaic as the standard for whats good.
I don't mind strong but I don't like broken builds, and tbh I was beginning to sour with how strong BB was. I never touched ES locks or Mosaics and my main is a Necro summoner with a one point CE for tactical damage rather than max for screen clear.
Speed and damage are far from my concerns. I care much more about feel of play.
Hybrid damage is definitely there
Very tanky with Blood Oath. Max Engorge and Syphon give plenty of sustain if you use BB for kills. Pure summoner without BB has left me a bit at a loss for sustain through chip damage though. Potions work sure but meh
Amp is still there - I'd say a spearwoman is now even more important with the extra jab hits for proc chances, especially if you don't run Holy Frost
Pure summoner is slow but absolutely capable of playing without a sunder, even in p8, I can't see hybrid damage being any worse. Phys immunes are a problem with less reliable Amp/Lethargy DR loss. I can see fire/phys immunes being stop signs to kill while you wait on an Amp proc.
I won't say its not usable or even weak, but I don't like the feel of it
On an unrelated note, they seem to have fixed Baal's AI when slowed. He no longer stands there and gets punched when under Lethargy.
Edit: Tested Clay Golem, AI still borked. Tested Decrep too, also borked. Maybe its just Lethargy.
Looks like Lethargy's speed decrease isn't working in PTR? Regular mobs walk through it at normal speed.
