I know but the only time I saw those in game was with like a random junk +def jewel in a coa or something. lol I realized the other day there are people on jsp now who werent even born when I started d2. or jsp lol.
i think most of the d2 base either died, went to prison or played other games. a few of us who have seen every scam instantly knows that scam.
i would do it all the time with hoz 180 ed ones or 180+ i cannot tell you how many times you can get players to buy a 210+ ed hoz if you just tell the player "over 200 ed is perf" and they just buy it if you socket with a pul rune. selling random trash deaths fathom that is 25 mastery then add a random cold facet with 5 cold mastery and rand -% res = 30% cold mastery and the noob only sees that number and the item is instantly sold (most of the time) because they dont have attention to detail.
i have not heard of anyone using autoit scripts to drop items in d2r yet but the level of damage that can be done in a few seconds is totally crazy and you can close d2 / force the computer to restart. anything is possible since you can script it.
