Don't forget the sweep in 6!
Can you name some teams that won a series when their 2nd best player got hurt and missed the playoffs?
Jokic has some incredible performances without Murray but no team can win with just one player.
Only in the east can teams make the finals with one good player.

Meanwhile embiid getting eliminated by Jimmy Butler(his former teammate)cuz he is making harden shoot the third most shots on the team then daddydicked by Tatum to the point you hate Tatum forever

Harden making the finals this year would be cinema

You're kinda making my point for me here.

Embiid never had a guard go off and dominate the playoffs consistently the way that Murray has in the playoffs. Period.

Alllllll the other nonsense about Embiid not getting out of the 2nd round blah blah blah. Jokic doesn't either in that situation because he has shown without a superstar guard playing at a HIGH level (like a #1 option level) consistently in the playoffs, he can't advance either. It's simple.

Jokic has been out of the 2nd round only TWICE in his 10 year career. Go look at what Jamal Murray did for him to make that happen both times:

2019-20 playoffs: 27/6/6 on 50% FG and 49% 3PT

2022-23 playoffs: 26/7/5 on 46% FG and 40% 3PT

Mic drop. Guy is a bonfire superstar in the playoffs and has also been insane in elimination games. You should be banned from here for suggesting Harden is a better option in the playoffs 😭

Harden is 1st ballot hof yet not a better option than a player who probably doesn't even make it to the hof? Sounds like you are the one who should be banned for your inconsistent takes.

Embiid playoff stats seem to indicate he is the reason Jimmy Butler couldn't make the finals. Time to assign blame appropriately

Embiid had Butler, Simmons, Harden, and now Maxey who are all All-NBA caliber players at one point or another. How much help does this guy need?

No matter how many times you try you can't seem to admit that Murray has been a FAR FAR FAR better playoff performer for Jokic than any guard Embiid ever had (until Maxey recently arrived). Period. Embiid gets to throw finals ez if he has a guard consistently dropping 26 PPG on insane efficiency taking over elimination games like Murray consistently did. What are we even talking about here?

We want to talk about Embiid and Butler? How about the one year they had together, that Raptors series in 2019 that you're referring to where Embiid was an absurd +90 for the series in 237 minutes of playing time, but the Sixers were -90 in the 99 minutes he was off the floor? Don't even get me started on the game 7 +10 he had in all but 2 minutes of playing time in a game they lost by 2 pts lmao. FYI Butler was the next closest at just +16 for that series. Oh...and Butler didn't even average 20 PPG in those playoffs and was horrible shooting from outside and clogged the floor like crazy alongside Ben Simmons. But sure, we'll blame Embiid 😭

You just proved my point

Simmons
Harden

Two of the best regular season but worst postseason guards. Harden is fun because he'll drop 45 one game and look unstoppable and then literally do nothing for the next 3 games and play like he's drunk.

Can't forget Tobias "0 pts in an elimination game" Harris LOL

Embiid shooting 37% and scoring 17ppg in a 7 game series and we are going to blame poor guard play 😂

"Jimmy Butler knocked Joel Embiid out of the playoffs, then walked over to his former 76ers teammate and hugged him, told him he loved him and was proud of him"

Embiid is the autistic loser that players feel sorry for

Not true for Butler or Maxey though. These guys are primetime playoff performers

Yeah, no doubt Embiid's offensive numbers that series were ugly, but then again anyone who watched the series also saw him getting trapped all series. When he wasn't busy dominating the game on the defensive end. Again, 76ers absolutely destroyed the Raptors that series when he was on the floor, and got absolutely destroyed when he was off it. He was far and way the most valuable player on the team and it's not even close rofl. But again, we're gonna blame the guy who was +90 in a series where his team was -90 with him off the floor? Because of course we are 😂

My favorite part in all of this is this playoff series we're discussing was before Embiid was even in his prime. He wasn't even at MVP caliber peak form yet (that came the 3 years that followed).

Sooo anyways, I'll say it again. Embiid NEVER had a guard play anywhere near the level of Jamal Murray during the Nuggets two conference finals runs. Not until Maxey recently at least. Without Murray, Jokic never got out of the second round. Coincidence? I think not.

Oh yeah?

Jimmy Butler in one playoff run with the Sixers averaged 19.4 PPG on 45% FG and 26% 3PT. His lack of shooting next to Simmons non-existent shooting made it impossible for Embiid to have space to do anything too. Prime time playoff performer though.

And Maxey, yes, who just recently broke out and had that type of playoff run. Played huge vs the Knicks last time they were in the playoffs but completely disappeared in the elimination game. Same series Embiid averaged 33/13/6 and played elite defense all series btw.

Yet you needed to bring up jokic out of his peak? Let's keep it consistent. Either way, Embiid got daddy sucked by jb and Tatum in his prime
