With the new patch, you actually have to switch to a non-ethereal or indestructible weapon to maximize your damage output. Since I couldn't afford Obsession, I built an ethereal Death in a Decapitator base with 11% Enhanced Damage. Now I have an ethereal 393% ED Decapitator that I could probably trade for an ethereal Obsession.
However, now that the damage has decreased significantly, I'm wondering if Obsession ia still better than Death... What do you guys think?
After all, Death provides much higher damage, Attack Rating, and Deadly Strike... but I am running a 75% FCR build.
Overall I think Echoing strike will still be a viable build with an eth Obsession/Death/Bots and Mephisto Book.

I used eth insight until now because it has everything you need. But I thought with the patch you lose 50 % base damage so there is quite a huge gap between non eth Insight and eDeath or eBotd

Just look for a non eth archon, it has decent avg damage and that 9min from insight almost makes min and max equal

Have a 15ed elder and nn sup elder ready to go.
Not as top end as archon, but easier to find and guaranteed 4 soc

Interesting. With Insight and 30 fcr Mephisto you can still use LoH with 2 fcr rings, arach and a 2/20 circlet to get 125 fcr.
The 30 fcr Mephisto will be very expensive though
