That's a known bug.
I believe it involves some desynch regarding the character position.
Leaving|rejoining usually solves the problem.

EDIT: The fact that you were (i guess) already on full gold could be involved, more specifically the impossibility to drop it on the floor.

It's a scammed item. Npc won't even give you refund

Not a bugged item. For whatever reason, if you have a small lag spike during gambling, sometimes an item can already have the "sold" flag applied to it. Since all gambling and identifying is done via a check from server side now instead of client side, it can result in bugs.

As others have side, rejoin and it'll realize you didn't actually sell the item and you still have it and correctly set the flag.

his happens very often, most often in a5 with malah when he walks away from you while clicking trade and is simply too far away and the same message pops up
