These are complementary accounts. Each giving details of the same event taking place.

1. Matthew’s perspective is the priests bought the field using the money Judas returned. Acts’ perspective is Judas “acquired” the field. Judas provides the money being indirectly responsible and the priests physically complete the purchase.

2. In Matthew Judas hangs himself before the field is purchased. In Acts it mentions the field in connection with Judas’s death. Judas returns money, Judas dies by hanging himself and priests use the money to buy the field.

3. In Matthew he hangs himself. In Acts he fell headlong and his body burst open. The harmonization is Judas hangs himself and later, his body falls (rope breaks, branch gives way, or decomposition). The fall causes the gruesome description in Acts. This explanation treats Acts as describing what happened to the body and not the initial cause of death.

4. In Matthew the priests bought it after his death. In Acts it is associated with Judas. Legally the priests owned it. It was Judas’s field because it was bought with his betrayal money.

There are no contradictions in the Bible.

Complemtary? How do you fall head long (head first) into your field that you purchased while also hanging yourself? Was judas a piece of toast that lands butter side down? This is peak mental gymnastics.

Stop telling yourself lies its a clear contradiction you are trying way too hard to make 2 distinctly different stories fit.

you’re confusing tools with laws. we invent the word hammer but we don't invent the laws of logic that allow a hammer to function. if logic were just a brand or a social agreement, reality would change every time we changed our minds.

by choosing utility over justification, you’ve admitted you don't care about what is true

if logic is just a human invention, then A=A was false before humans existed. did a tree have no identity until a caveman grunted it into existence?

is 2+2 = 4 universally true? if so, logic is universal

what I am saying is the law of identity is true no matter your language or personal opinion and you couldn't even form an argument against the law of identity without assuming the law of identity. so since we have established logic is true and universal, what is it grounded in?

if you don't believe me, read Aristotle’s Metaphysics, Book IV. he pointed out that anyone trying to deny the universality of laws of logic is essentially reduced to a vegetable, because they've annihilated the possibility of meaning anything at all.

https://classics.mit.edu/Aristotle/metaphysics.4.iv.html

Logic is a man made (conceptual) tool not a law same way a hammer is also a tool (physical) not a law.

How does logic allow the hamer to function exactly? Logic is a man-made concept the hammer cannot be affected by immaterial concepts. Only physical force can affect the hammer such as you taking the hammer in your hand and swinging it. The hammer doesn't need justification for its existence it already exists. You can give it a name, you can even decide how to use the hammer or if certain people are allowed to use hammers but you cannot make a hammer appear out of thin air by putting an identity on it. You can only make the hammer physically out of existing materials.

In maths logic might appear to be universal since its mostly binary or controlled isolated variables but when you try to apply it to some complex human problem with million variables it doesn't really work. Especially when tradeoffs/compromises are involved.
2+2 =4 isnt universal it is just an commonly agreed term to maintain consistency within certain systems, but it is not an absolute law of the physical universe or all mathematical frameworks. Like language certain words are given meaning but the words themselves can be changed if the collective decides to update its lexicon. If tomorrow we decided 2+2=5 then that will be new logic not because it's some universal law. These are just tools that we can update and change any time just like designing a new and more ergonomic hammer.

I'll stick to God's truth, but thanks for your opinion.

Maths ain't mathing still believes bible anyway.

Thanks for confirming its a cult.

reality is a vote now?
2+2 = 4 is not universal but just our opinion? I add two rocks and two rocks it's 4 now, but if I decide tomorrow it's actually 5 rocks? the literal identity of reality changes based off my opinion? i'm not talking about definitions of words here, i'm talking about the actual identity of 2+2 = 4.

logic is essential to the hammer because it has an identity. A=A.

this is pure sophistry lol, how can you possibly deny logic exists as a universal yet demand physical proof of something? you've collapsed into complete incoherence.

If you are adding rocks it seems to be consistent but what happens when you add other things like
2 quartz of water + 2 quartz of ethanol = ?

It is not universal it is only applicable to some things some of the time.

A hammer doesn't have an identity other than what we decide to give it. You convinced yourself of some kind of theoretical construct that has no practical application that I can see. Why don't you prove what you are saying instead of talking about it? This is just abstract meta logic concepts that are a diversion tactic on providing physical proof of this so called "god".

how is 2 quarts of water + 2 quarts of ethanol a defeater to logic or math?

this supports that logic is universal because you have recognized these things have identity. the mass and the number of molecules remains exactly the same, these things happen independent on how we label them or the language used to describe the real phenomenon.

if a hammer doesn't have an identity then it means doesn't exist. maybe you are not understanding this linguistically? identity is not a gender or something we apply socially in some modern era leftist way, it's fundamental to reality.

to prove something I have to appeal to universal truth right, not just something subjective in our minds otherwise it's only true in our minds? if logic is not universal and just a social construct in our minds, then how can I prove something in a meaningful way?

Are you winning son? Yes dad, addone made a spelling mistake, instead of quarts he said quartz this is funny because its spelled incorrectly. Son you are very funny don't let the haters tell you otherwise. *(Pats you on the head)

Why don't you add 2 quarts of water with 2 quarts of ethanol together and see if you still get 4 quarts of liquid. I'll wait

Spoiler alert it won't be 4 this disproves your assertion that 2+2=4 universally. Logic is an abstract immaterial concept and you are trying to apply to a dynamic complex world it doesn't always work. It only works in a vacuum with certain set of rules. You have at least 4 different types of logic to deal with problems (formal, informal, symbolic, and mathematical) precisely because they don't cover everything. Logic therefore cannot be called universal in a practical sense.

Now stop wasting my time talking about this meta conversation and get to the actual proof of your so called god. Not really interested in debating sophistry and theoretical philosophy.
