That makes sense. We're always on call too, but it's split between 3 people. 2 weeks on, 1 month off. But regardless because I live on-site and care about my job, I'm kinda 24/7. I'm so over it though. Even today is my day off but I'll be coming into work around 8-9am to help a restoration company.
Good on call rotation, mines every 2 weeks, wish it was a month.

When we have someone call after hours we get the generic plant number so I don't know who called.
I will make them leave a message, if they decide not to I don't care and wont try to find out who out of the 50 departments called.
Sometimes they spam call me and don't leave a message, so I'll turn on the shower and answer the phone so they can join me while I talk to them, or flush the toilet mid call.
