Agreed.
A lot of builds currently used will become obsolete. Warlock is not going to go away, will blend with every other character which people forgot about this season. You couldn't sell assassin gear, ele druid, zon etc... because everyone wanted only warlock, like everything the bis items will hold value and the high stat ones will go at a premium, no lost value overall. Everyone can agree of inflation over how horny we all got for this new update and the warlock. Looking forward to your further testing, you're the only person I take time to read
The reason that gear wasn't selling is that people have been playing those same classes for 20+ years. They need to revamp the system to avoid having 7 warlocks 1 bo barb every game. Without a proper talent update it's just going to be more of the same next season. Synergies need to be redone to allow multispec. As in all your synergies aren't in the same tree. Maybe limit synergies to 2 so there's only 60 points used per min maxing a spell or skill. That way you could spec into more than one tree. That means removing mastery type skills. Or instead of synergies just allow more multi damage abilities like how bloodboil currently works. Every class needs an early method to counter immunity before sunder charm whether that's swapping spells with synergy changes or using a mid game build for hell prior to GG gear that allows doing multiple damage types.
If every class has a hammerdin or bloodboil build it means they're all potential season starters outside of teleport, which honestly could be added to more items just in a different way (teleport charges with slow recharge rate) on other armors besides enigma. And if you don't like teleport well then add FRW to most unique, set chests and allow rares to roll FRW. Mobility is a huge problem and the reason why enigma is so popular. Warlocks were doing so much damage you were better off using a harmony merc prior to enigma.
Finally to appease the nochanges crowd keep all the nochanges on LOD D2R version along with classic. That probably means actually selling the LOD base version of D2R on the stores if that isn't already the case.
