Then what are you doing here?

This is not a discussion about feelings or exchanging beliefs holding hands around the campfire. This thread about being able to prove those beliefs with facts, logic and hard evidence. If you've come empty handed then this isn't a thread for you. Maybe try the echo chamber in christian sub where people are not allowed to disagree.

Have you ever been to this particular section of the forums: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=250

I mean, that is a lot of people who didn't have Religion to tell them not to steal. How will you solve the problem of people scamming within the D2 community if there is no Religion to tell us not to steal?

Can you make it so a new thread in that section will not be created for a full day? Surely you have some wonderful alternative other than Religion to tell everyone not to steal?

Let's hear it, then put it into practice so we have 1 full day of nobody getting scammed.

#48 - argument from authority. Could have =/= did. Using could of, would of, should of isn't disproving the contradiction you are just making assumptions and hoping its not a contradiction.

#49 by not mentioning other people who visited the empty tomb the reader is left but to read as if there were no other. If the writers mentioned there were multiple people but only named some of them we would know for certain that its not a contradiction but because they failed to clarify you are just assuming there were others. Another helpful distinction would be Mary came in at 6.15am then followed her was Salome at 7am. But bible loves being vague and non specific. Thats a feature that way it has an out when things don't go according to plan.

#50 see #48
[/QUOTE]

The Bible has zero contradictions. Fact vs addones feelings.

I'll stick to the facts.

You are talking about efficacy of a belief I am talking about authenticity of that belief.

You can threaten some people to not scam with a boogeyman, hell or a bolt of lightning from a sky wizard but that doesn’t make the boogeyman real.

If you are a bad person and the only thing stopping you from committing crimes is a belief in a deity then by all means use it.
That doesn't make religion true it just means religion can be a useful muzzle or a leash for bad people.

Btw still haven't answered my question "can you trust that there is no god?"

I’m asking Jesus in general regardless of what he did. Do you believe he was an actual figure or just someone made up?

If you are talking about some regular guy named jesus with no magic powers then not very likely-probably but not a hard no. The independent witnesses (namely Flavius Josephus) never met jesus or mentioned jesus by name much less his magic powers. The only thing they mention is there were cristians and some guy they worship. That isn't evidence of a man named jesus. or a man with magic powers named jesus its just second hand evidence of a religious group existing.

I think it is possible there was some guy a priest/rabbi type of man who was deified (a common practice in those times). Like we did with Chuck Norris or North Koreans did with Kim Jung Un. Christians had created their Kim Jung Un and worship his farts.

Whats really odd and highly sus is the lack of independent witnesses during the time of jesus. If a guy performed miracles and claimed to be god even his enemies would be writing extensively about him. Imagine you are Pontius Pilate and you just crucified a guy claiming to be god and resurrecting after. There would be prison records and every messenger (news outlet) be yapping about him. There isn't even a footnote. If a guy named jesus resurrected me from the dead I would be writing books about him. Nada, zip

Most likely another bum trickster claiming to be god and scamming people got nailed to a tree as punishment. Only 100's of years later to be made into some kind of religious messiah.

Genesis 2:16-17
And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden, 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”

Genesis 3:2
The woman answered the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden, 3but about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You must not eat of it or touch it, or you will die.’

What actually happened (in the story)
They ate and touched the fruit and did not die they were just told to vacate the premises and live to a ripe old age of 930 for Adam and undisclosed age for Eve but they had babies and proceeded to not die and live their lives as nothing happened.

God is a liar, incompetent or doesn't exist.
Pick one or more options.

I wanted a simple polite conversation with an adult. Guess I'm not getting it, and this will be my last response and moving on. Just an fyi we don’t even have the original Roman records for many of the emperors, let alone a provincial execution. Most of what we know about the ancient world comes from later copies of historians like Tacitus and Josephus. You keep on rambling and writing lies and nonsense. Theres definitely a deeper issue here beyond religion and I hope one day you resolve it. Peace brother I hope you find your truth one day.
