The build was nerfed pretty hard, physical damage reduced from synergies, from fixing the skill, from fixing the ar/hit check, and fixing ez eth weapons, as well as requiring a book for a 2 hander.

Seems pretty fucking terrible on paper, maybe the ptr will give better insight to the actual performance.

I’m guessing for the higher base damage.. you now have the book/offhand to place the stone in (if you hadn’t used the book before)

Jewel still bugs in ars dul meph though, so that unfortunately wouldn’t help.

Yup! It bugs everywhere but an actual weapon and book is considered an off hand despite occupying a weapon slot.

I thought the 1 of the 2 damage modifiers bugs, but the -enemy physical resistance still applies so it is still a dank jewel even in helm?

This is correct. It is the Ed that bugs when you socket it anywhere but a weapon.

It’s still a good stat stick jewel for all its other bonuses and worth having in your gear regardless.
