It's really irrelevant as long as he was healthy for the playoffs. And this is not something he has control over. Its not like a knee or foot failing him. Just terrible luck.

Playing the way he has this season (knee has felt great according to Embiid) with PG looking great, and Maxey/Edgecomb. They were looking dangerous come playoff time for a low seed. Not a team anyone wants in the first round. Without Embiid that's just not the same case, although they'll still be decent if everyone else is healthy.

It’s only going downhill in terms of nagging injuries popping up for Embiid. I’ll be shocked if he plays over 40 games any season going forward. He might be healthy for a playoff run TBD

He's not healthy for a playoff run because he just got diagnosed with appendicitis and had surgery yesterday..

Not a nagging injury. Just really bad luck and timing.
