ive found a mephistos socketed with a 39ed/8str jewel to add a TON of dmg, esp with the +2 skills i think its worth it over spirit
i also run a COA 2os with 40 ed/str jewels, the dr/resis is really nice helps me not risk dying when i hit a strong pack

Sick! I’ve been rocking the Meph also. CoA I did use when I pushed in HC. Definitely check that out again next ladder

Does an ED% jewel work on mephisto? I always get confused by discussion of the ED bug. But I thought it didn't work on shields and helmets and stuff.

It does work, ED jewels in general are fine - the long time bug is when a jewel has both ED and +minimum or maximum damage
