I have some lightning facets 5/5, its been a while and i cant remember if color changes the value? do some people value certain colors more? Wanted to try to swap my colors for matching color but wasnt sure if they are all the same or not. Hopefully this is the proper place to ask.

Kinda. You can charge a tiny bit more for facets that match and you can charge more for facets that match their elements, especially die 5/5 facets that match their element to their color.

Red= fire
Blue = cold & lightning
Green = poison

You can really only charge a small premium for this and really only to people who are looking for it... Not to regular people who don't care about matching jewels and stuff. But there are more people than you think who are ocd about matching jewels colors, charm graphics etc. just having matching stuff is niiiice.

Typically the only people who will pay more for specific colors are also the people who only want perfect DIE facets, not imperfect level facets.

Also if you want a price check, you should post in the forum where you would normally sell it (whichever d2r subforum that is for you) and instead of clicking "new trade" click "new price check".

Yeah, I guess. But the white jewels aren't really that white. People just prefer blue for lightning. Go look at old trophy room stuff and you'll see foh sticks with 5x +5/-5 blue die facets.

Peach and white are just kinda ugly jewel colors as well.

Neither of these colors really bring the idea of "lightning" and lightning is presented by blue stuff all the time, think of Nova in the game. Also I believe people are just fans of the red and blue jewels in general. I'm a fan of blue and pink myself.

Can't say I've seen an all green jmod unless it was poison. But it's your facets and your fg and your shield, it's not a sin, you're allowed to do whatever you want!

But in the future you really could only charge a premium if those jewels were the "correct" color.

Whats the reason ppl prefer 5/5 “die” facet over lvlup one.. never figured out that one

Because generally the die facets have much more applications. Especially in pvp where the majority of the "needs to be die facet" hype comes from. You die and it's possible your facet death skill can finish off a low hp opponent. I've gotten many, many pks with my facets lol. Especially light facets.

And once you've reached lvl 97+, you just stop leveling up very often and you generally only level up when you're killing stuff, and what would be the point of shooting off these high level facet spells if everything is already dead on the screen?
